Diwali Lantern

Posted by Preeya at 6:56 PM 3 comments

My first try at origami. I made this kusudama ball long back. I used it as a Diwali lantern, by cutting few petals from the top & inserted a bulb.

Till now I have posted my old works. Next one is going to be the new one :) which I am doing it right now, a quilled frame.....

Hi Friends,
This is the first time I am starting with the blog, completely based on art and craft, to share my little creations and connect to all wonderful artists out there:)
On my first blog, I would like introduce to you this special person Mrs.Geetha Padmakar, who's been a great inspiration for me. She is a brilliant quiller. When I visited her, I was amazed to see her place adorned with lovely quilled flowers. She conducts workshops in Bangalore n has got many awards. She even stocks quilling tool and pre-cut strips specially used for flowers.
Below are the few flowers which she thought me in minutes......

She has made fridge magnets with these flowers. Isn't it lovely?
And these are the papers used to quill these flowers........
You can check out Mrs.Geetha Padmakar's creations on http://picasaweb.google.com/padmakar.geetha
I’ll be sharing my craft experiences and ideas in the following posts.......I hope you enjoy going through my blog......
